2ND LINE SUPPORT ENGINEER
An well-renowned Cloud Security business are on the market for a IT Support Engineer who has good VMware experience to join them on a permanent basis, based in Stoke-on-Trent!
This is a 2nd Line support position focusing on internal and external service operations. You would play a key part in making sure that systems are maintained and functioning at optimal level!
*DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK ALL CANDIDATE MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR SC CLEARANCE*

THE ROLE
As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you would manage internal maintenance and monitor patching requirements. You'd be responsible for service support and administration of manage service offerings, working to agreed SLA's. As the point of escalation for the 1st line team, you would manage customer issues, diagnosing and resolving problems. Some resolution may take you out of the office and to customer sites or one of the datacentres. On-call rotas will be applied when necessary.
Technical Environment: Windows 10, Windows Server, VMware Horizon, ESXi & vSphere, Polycom VOIP hardware, O365, AD, QNap Backup Hardware, Nakivo, McAfee, Sophos, Windows RDS, Dell & Meraki, Palo Alto & OPNSense, HP Thin clients, Dell & Lenovo Laptops.
