DB Senior Actuarial Analyst

London/Reigate – Hybrid

Role Overview

This is a fantastic newly created opportunity for someone with good DB pensions experience to join a dynamic team with huge potential for growth. We are looking for a partially qualified actuary to price Bulk Purchase Annuity transactions and support the DB Solutions Team’s growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Populate and run pricing models to calculate premiums, including manipulation of data, assumption setting and calculation of all associated pricing metrics.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
• Check initial drafts of quotation documents to be issued externally
• Proactively drive projects forward to ensure they are progressed in line with expected timescales

Key Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good IT skills, particularly Excel, with programming experience desirable
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills
• Familiarity with Defined Benefits/BPA pensions experience is desirable
• Familiarity with life insurance principles and regulation is desirable
