About the Trust

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the leading provider of health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and north east Hampshire.

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Work under the guidance of the Lead Administrator to support the processing of the referrals.

· Taking on office duties to ensure post is organised and that referrals get to their destination in a timely manner.

· Receive telephone calls for the team and provide telephone cover at times of peak activity, receiving telephone calls from health care professionals, clients, and their carers – some of which may be complex in detail.

· Other regular tasks include interacting with parents, professionals and referrers by telephone and letter.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Good all-round communication skills and be confident in using and answering the telephone.

· Excellent organisational skills.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· System knowledge of EMIS. (Desirable)
