Where will you be working?
BSS is a supplier of pipeline, process, heating and mechanical services equipment; our customers range from large national contractors (the projects we support make us very proud!) to small, local independents, our customers are varied and so are our jobs. We are a flagship branch in Bristol, we employ 22 staff and we're looking for an
Assistant Branch Manager to join our team. Our Branch Manager has created a dynamic, fast paced and lively environment, this role forms part of their senior team, you will have great support around you from day one in a hard working environment.
Hours - Monday to Friday 0730/0800-1700, no weekends!

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in BSS branch life, you will learn our business and our products with our training and guidance and you will be responsible for fully supporting the Branch Manager and all elements of the operation, in essence, an all rounder is required! You will work alongside the Warehouse Manager and Sales Supervisor, jumping into branch roles when things are busy, you will support all safety and audit requirements in the branch, be aware of targets and budgets, deliver exceptional service to our customers and be an ambassador for our branch and our BSS brand. When the Branch Manager is off site, you will step up with confidence to manage the full operation.
What experience do you need?
This is a varied, challenging yet highly rewarding position. You will bring previous team leadership/coaching experience gained in a busy sales/customer facing environment, ideally this experience will come from a merchanting background. You are already a good operational manager looking for a step into a bigger space. You will pride yourself on being an empathetic manager of others, you will be confident in your abilities as a leader but will relish the times talking to customers, winning business and driving performance.
