Business Communications Specialist
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Communications Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies, to support the Commercial team on the Future Programme. An exciting and unique opportunity to ensure all stakeholders are kept informed and engaged throughout Asda's separation from the Wal-Mart business.
Please note this is an 18 month Secondment / fixed term position, but a high percentage of our fixed term colleagues secure permanent opportunities along the way.
Your Role
- Work closely with the Commercial team to support the delivery of the function specific communication plans.
- Develop engaging creative content, ensuring communication delivers messages with impact and clarity, on brand and delivered in the Asda tone of voice.
- Working with business subject matter experts to understand and collate key messages to share with the change team.
- Support in the management of the Future inbox for Suppliers and Colleagues, fielding queries and providing an excellent customer service experience.
- Support the implementation of the change strategy in your area, by developing communication and engagement materials. Covering training, pre-Go-Live, cut-over, transition states and post Go Live hyper care package.
- Supports the change team on events and logistics planning.
- Maintain critical distribution lists making sure data is accurate so that communication lands to the right audience.
About You
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong creative skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of producing and editing creative content.
- Ability to organise, plan and prioritise in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively.
- Strong knowledge of communication technologies and channels including digital platforms (Teams, Social media, website, Blog), video and visual design tools etc.
- Experience of Poppulo, Mailchimp or other internal communication systems is desirable but not essential.
