Contract type: Permanent / Part Time 20 hours per week

The Vacancy:

A vacancy has arisen for 20 hours per week - 10.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday.

An administrator working within the Business Support team in Craven House Barrow. The team manages various functions to support the Barrow office and Revenues & Benefits services.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Printing and enveloping Revenues and Benefits homeworker letters for various contracts sent to Craven House printer.
  • Reconciling number of prints to envelopes for audit purposes.
  • Logging post on the Royal Mail’s OBA system and liaising with Royal Mail postal officers who collect and drop off post.
  • Logging daily post volumes on Excel spreadsheet showing statistical breakdown between contracts.
  • Collection of post from office-based workers and distribution of incoming post as appropriate.
  • Assisting where appropriate with Business Support Administration.
  • Assistance with reception duties for Craven House including meeting and greeting visitors.
  • Monitoring stocks levels of office stationery including envelopes/inserts for post requirements and liaising with PO coordinator, as required.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail in order to balance numbers.
  • Computer literate and previous experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous Customer Service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate and interact with others.
  • Excellent teamwork skills to work towards a common goal.
  • Enthusiasm and person drive – ability to complete tasks and look forward to the next one.
