Your New Role...

Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager UK & Ireland, Warner Bros. Discovery, the Corporate Communications Executive UK & Ireland will support the planning and delivery of the external communications strategies, campaigns and events that build Warner Bros. Discovery profile and presence throughout the UK & Ireland to achieve key business and commercial objectives.

At a crucial time for the business following the merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery Inc, the UK & Ireland Corporate Communications function will help shape and develop a strong external profile for Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland, promoting the company's messages, policies and initiatives.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • The Corporate Communications Executive UK & Ireland will support corporate communications programmes across the core UK & Ireland business units including ad-sales, partners and affiliates, distribution, content (spanning streaming, linear networks, theatrical, gaming, social), home entertainment, consumer products and licensing. This includes the drafting of communications tools and briefing documents, as well as planning and delivery of campaign launch activity and events.
  • The Corporate Communications Executive UK & Ireland, will support the running of the UK corporate press office, monitoring requests and responses in a timely and ordered fashion. They will play a key role in informing the press office of key live issues in the industry along with key opportunities for WBD UK & Ireland and will lead and coordinate all news monitoring. In addition, the Corporate Communications Executive UK & Ireland will maintain the press office distribution lists and monitor all media moves and appointments, helping to inform media engagement plans.
  • The Corporate Communications Executive UK & Ireland will help to strengthen Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland’s reputation and relationships with key external partners, including and not limited to affiliates, industry partners, advertisers, retailers, the production community, CSR & DEI partners and key government bodies and stakeholders, through ongoing research and monitoring of industry activity and they will maintain all UK & Ireland membership and partnership trackers to optimise opportunities.
  • With London operating as the home of many Warner Bros. Discovery UK and international business units, the Corporate Communications Executive UK & Ireland will also support coordination across the UK communications network, attending key meetings and briefings whilst maintaining activity trackers. They will also support the delivery of the DEI & CSR communications programmes across the UK & Ireland portfolio.
  • In addition, the Corporate Communications Executive UK & Ireland will support the UK & Ireland Internal Communications function, ensuring timely information flow on key activities that will be of interest to staff and supporting delivery of internal briefings and events.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Previous experience in a similar communications role
  • The ability to influence and support executives and stakeholders
  • Previous experience of working to promote and protect corporate and consumer brands with external and internal audiences is desirable
