Job Description:

We are looking for an Mechanical or Electrical bias Facilities Manager to help manage our central government contracts in London. The role will involve you supporting the senior operations manager in developing and leading the technical team.

The hiring company are 3 and half years into their 5 year contract, with the option for a two year extension. Carrying out Facilities management across the City hall, Libraries and other community facilities.

Key activities:

You will be highly effective when managing the staff, and consistently delivering a high standard of service

Assisting the management of contractual performance; including incurrence of penalties

Ensure contract compliance with all auditing bodies both internal and external

You will work directly with the senior operations manager to maintain target operating model for required CPs, APs and RPs

Ensure appropriate training provisions on induction and use of equipment and to identify training needs for the service

Exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets

You will be assisting with the formulation of budgets, business plans and departmental strategies

You will manage all associated subcontracted services and ensure that subcontractors are able to carry out their duties in a safe and timely manner

To deputise for the Senior Operations Manager, Hard Services in their absence

Skills, experience & qualifications:

  • You will need a qualification relevant to the building services environment
  • Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical
  • High level of IT literacy in using Microsoft and CAFM packages
  • Good financial awareness
  • Trained in COSHH and Health & Safety.
  • Must have or be able to get government security clearance, essential CTC level preferably to SC level

Currently over 2% of the Company's payroll is spent on Learning and Development activities. They have their own international and local training centres, delivering technical and management courses
