Job Title:
Finance Manager

Location: Samlesbury/ Warton (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £58,155 + depending on skills and experience


What you’ll be doing:

  • Calculating and submitting Rates claims to the UK MOD and supporting auditing activities
  • Coaching and supporting the team to create an inclusive environment that value diversity
  • Communicate regular updates and providing guidance across the business and to key external stakeholders
  • Monitor and identify cost recovery risks
  • Sharing of ideas, learning and best practices across the different sectors
  • Review current processes and implement improved ways of working through involvement in improvement programmes and exploration
  • You’ll also have people manager responsibilities in this role

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Ability to challenge, influence and collaborate across networks to develop effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Proactive, with a forward thinking and collaborative approach including ability to be flexible in a changing environment

Desirable

  • Experience of presenting to varying levels in the organisation
  • Exposure to external and or Government audit/auditors
  • Experience of both project accounting and management accounting roles

The Rates Capability Centre team:

As a Finance Manager you will be the lead for the Costing & Pricing Rates outputs across Air and the managing of the external interface with UK MoD CAAS. This role will support the development of your change management skills whilst highlighting your ability to support continuous improvement. Along with having regular communication and engagement across different parts of the customer community making this a unique role. You will also get the opportunity for future career development within BAE Systems.
