Employment Type: Permanent Full Time - 37.5 Hours a Week - Monday to Friday

Salary: £22,386 per annum- Overtime is paid at time and half and double time

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Goods In Operative to join our operations team. This role will suit an individual who is experienced in working in a very fast-paced environment, with a can-do attitude, good-eye for detail, reliable and trustworthy.

  • Ensure all daily MHE truck checks are done before starting to use that equipment.
  • Ensure goods are unloaded and process correctly.
  • Update the computer system accordingly.
  • Use the IT equipment provided to ensure correct operations are carried out on RF guns and laptops/notebooks etc.
  • Work to deadlines as set out by the Goods-in Team Leader
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensure all pallet movement KPIs are met.
  • Work closely with the Goods In/ PI and picking departments to resolve any issues


Candidate Specification

  • General warehouse duties
  • Supply the correct information to external storage facilities.
  • The ideal candidate will have MHE and general warehouse experience and be numerate and possess basic IT skills. This position includes some heavy lifting.
  • The candidate must possess the relevant, up to date, MHE licences, obtained by an external accredited training company e.g. R.T.I.T.B (no in-house licences)
  • Ability to work un-supervised at times.
  • Must have a good Can Do attitude
  • A good understanding of the relevant H&S responsibilities
  • Good understanding of warehousing and logistics
  • Experience in high-volume input to strict deadlines.
  • Good work ethic and a team player


Work/Educational Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a warehouse and goods in environment
  • Educated to GCSE standard
  • Good IT and numerate skills
  • FLT License

Desirable:

  • Reach Truck License
