Head Chef

Hub Box, Cheltenham

Location: The Brewery Quarter, GL50 4FA

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time

To be considered, you’ll have a few years’ experience working as a Senior Sous or Head Chef, cooking in a high-energy kitchen coupled with a genuine passion for the provenance of produce & the quality of the food a kitchen sends out. You will also have the desire to continually grow the brilliance of your kitchen team.

As a Head Chef, you’re the boss of the kitchen, you join our kitchen legends to:

• Lead the kitchen team in the delivery of our ambition. In case you missed it above… It’s our ambition to make Hub Box a favourite for our customers & awesome for our people, while always doing good for our planet
• Run the kitchen ensuring what is served is consistently cooked to spec & standards are high standards are never compromised
• Wear multiple hats…you’re a leader, a manager, a chef, a confidant, a coach, a mentor & a champion of HBX standards & culture
• Craft the rosters to ensure the right people are in the kitchen at the right time
• Recruit & select kitchen team members
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety & health & safety regulations
• Develop & grow your team’s knowledge, experience & expertise
• Manage orders, stock takes & GP’s
• Deliver knock-your-socks-off customer service with smiles, chat & pace always

Once you’ve applied, we will:

3. If your initial chat goes well, we will invite you in for an interview. You should know that as much as this is for us to get to know you better, it is for you to get to know us too.

4. All being well at the interview we will invite you in asap for a taster shift.

5. Upon completion of your taster shift, we always love to hear what you think, we will provide you with feedback & depending on how that goes we will hopefully be able to offer you the job, welcome you to the Hub Box team & get you started with us. P.S We will also feed you at the end of your taster shift regardless of whether you join us or not.
