Position Responsibilities:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation & Control Department Manager to support our Advanced Technology Clients. In this role you will provide technical discipline leadership and will direct the day-to-day operational activities of the I&C, LSS and Small Wires department, as well as actively manage the department’s revenue growth and labor efficiency. This is a full-time permanent remote role.

You will ensure the quality, accuracy and completeness of overall work as to engineering, compliance with established IPS standards, procedures, codes, and ordinances. You’ll be the primary responsible individual for quality of unit output related to adherence to stated project goals as well as legal and IPS guidelines and efficiency. You will contribute technical input and oversee technical output of department to assure compliance with legal, IPS and project requirements. You’ll protect IPS corporate welfare through application of prudent judgment and implementation of risk management technique.

You’ll develop and assure implementation of Advanced Technologies/ Semiconductor sectors standards and tools to ensure department output meets or exceeds established quality and performance expectations of our clients. You’ll oversee manpower planning of unit resources and administer technical staff to assure efficient assignment of resources on multiple, concurrent projects. You will recruit, retain and develop staffing plans to meet forecast labor and skills required to meet business plan for our Global organization. You’ll supervise designers and architects and ensures that all employees within the department are properly managed and trained. You’ll instill a positive work environment and facilitates effective staff development efforts.

Last, but not least you will prepare proposals for service, will support preparation of proposals by others and will support business development with presentations and related marketing activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 25+ years relevant I&C, Life Safety Systems (LSS) and Small Wires experience specifically with Semiconductor, Electric Vehicle (EV), Photovoltaic, Life Sciences and other advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • 20+ years experience in a supervisory or management capacity consisting of planning, designing and construction of advanced manufacturing projects.
  • 20+ years experience in the generation, review and execution of full life cycle documentation for systems and processes across regulated and non-regulated advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • 15+ years experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) including 3D, 4D and 5D dimensions.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Building Automation Systems and Process Automation systems, including (but not limited to), Siemens, Rockwell (Allen Bradley), Emerson, Yokogawa, GE Fanuc, GE Cimplicity/iFix, Omron, ABB, Schneider, Mitsubishi and Festo.
  • Exceptional knowledge of automation systems networking and communication protocols.
  • Exceptional knowledge of I&C, LSS and Small Wires systems to facilitate Semiconductor OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) including, ASML, TEL, AMAT, Nicon, LAM, KLA Tencor
  • Proven track record in creating, growing and maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Proven track record in managing Off Site Manufacturing (OSM) and remote systems integrators.
  • Excellent understanding of the process of identifying local code requirements for Fire Alarm, Security and Hazardous Production Material around the world.
  • Progressive ability, capacity, and aptitude in administration to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work and to obtain cooperation from others.
  • Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, superior communications skills, team building and strong work ethic. Must be able to build rapport with department staff.
