Interim Clerk Of Works
My client is one of the leading housing providers in the North West with over 20000 properties in its portfolio.
Interim Clerk Of Works
To support the planned works delivery team in to ensure consistently high standards of quality control through onsite technical assessment adhering to specification ensuring robust control of health and safety standards in compliance with health and safety legislation.
Key Duties:
- Support the Investment Team by ensuring that accurate and up to date records in connection with Capital work and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the contract specification preparing defect schedules for rectification and monitoring performance standards, minimising risk, monitoring progress, assist in the preparation of payment valuations and financial management of the project, reporting as appropriate.
- Provide effective supervision to ensure consistently high quality standards through robust monitoring and supervision for each project, via site visits, assessing all aspects of quality control.
- Ensure effective administration of systems for the delivery of planned works, to ensure creation of work orders, payments etc. in delivering planned works.
- Maintain accurate records and data, operate and maintain information systems
- Ensure health and safety compliance with legislative requirements including CDM and associated legislation.
- Provide accurate, up to date and concise information for internal and external audits as and when required.
Essential:* Track record of managing investment programmes to a high level of quality and performance.
- Technically competent and demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building standards, planning regulations, regulatory standards, and leasehold legislation.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and their effective administration.
- Experience of managing onsite health and safety management and compliance to the requirements of CDM.
- Experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of managing contractors to meet defined objectives or targets.
- An HNC or equivalent pass in a building related discipline
- Initial 3 month contract with a view to been extended further
