The School of Law at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law.
The postholder will undertake research in line with the School of Law’s research strategy. You will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Intellectual Property Law and contribute to one or more of the foundational subjects. You will contribute to the LLM in Intellectual Property Law and/or Law and technology and at doctoral level as required.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:
- Hold a degree in Law (2.1 or above);
- Hold or are about to obtain a PhD in Law or cognate discipline;
- Have a publication record (including papers about to publish) in good quality peer reviewed journals and/or with relevant publishers, commensurate with stage of career. Demonstrated ability to publish at internationally-excellent level, with clear potential to make a strong contribution to the School’s performance in REF2021 and beyond;
- Have research interests that are sustainable and which complement the research strategy of the School of Law;
- Demonstrate an awareness of appropriate external research income opportunities to support research;
- Have relevant teaching experience in a law school context, commensurate with stage in career; and
- Have the ability to contribute to the teaching of Intellectual Property Law and at least one of the core foundational subjects.
