Assistant Management Accountant

We are now hiring for an Assistant Management Accountant to work within our Manchester head office (hybrid) alongside our ambitious, inspiring, and experienced Finance team working across all our management accounts. Support and training on all our processes, policies and software will be provided.

Key Responsibilities


Your responsibilities as the Assistant Management Accountant
  • Assisting with Payroll (circa 130 employees)
  • Reporting to the Finance Manager and assisting the CFO in preparation of monthly management accounts including calculation/posting of Prepayments/Accruals.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and management account postings
  • Reconciliation of complex revenue sheets
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Preparing and posting journals and invoices
  • Managing lease reporting for IFRS and producing various other reports as required
  • Assisting with preparation of budget
  • Assisting with stat accounts and audits
  • Ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Any other duties as required by the CFO.
  • To undertake any other reasonable request or duties commensurate with your post

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Qualifications and Experience
We believe that the ideal candidate has the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Previous experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Finance/Accounting background, ideal for a first time mover from practice.
  • Experience in using XERO.
  • AAT, ACCA/ACA/CIMA, (can be Partly/Newly Qualified)

Benefits


Salary
  • Up to £34,000 – subject to experience.
  • Working Hours - 36 hours a week over 4.5 days
  • Location – Oxford Road, Manchester
  • Flexible Working – Three days office (flexible)
