Location: Gloucestershire

Rate: £380-£400/day Outside IR35

Contract Duration: 6 months

60/40 Hybrid Working Model

Role:

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a large and well-established public sector client on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting our growing network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will be working closely with the network and IT teams to ensure smooth operation of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls and other networking equipment.
• troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, such as connectivity, performance, and security problems.
• Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure network security and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and inventory.

Essentials skills & experience:

• Routing and switching.
• Experience with data-centre management and best practices.
• Effective team working and technical decision making.
• Quality focused, due care and attention taken to ensure solutions and platform meet their quality criteria and the team standards set.
• Familiarity with network security and compliance best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and topologies.
