Permanent

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum +Bonus + Pension + BUPA + ShareSave + 6.6 weeks holiday + Hybrid Working (3 Days per week in the Office)

Key responsibilities

The Content Planning Manager is responsible for leading and influencing the Local Asset Briefing and Production process for all new range reviews, large range re-launches (‘Neutrons’) and seasonal content.

The process takes the Category Range ‘Vision Packs’ and briefs, translates into a Content brief, and then facilitates a process to confirm what assets and evergreen content is required for launch, ultimately ensuring that all necessary assets are produced and delivered on time, to agreed budgets. Working with the category teams, local content team, Kingfisher Own Brand teams and Vendors to align on the briefs and agree who’s producing which assets and working with the Marketing Channels and Digital team to ensure their asset and content needs are met.

  • Responsible for project managing the 42week local asset content briefing process for all range reviews and neutrons.
  • Responsible for managing the editorial content planning and production process and facilitating the channel planning and production meetings.
  • Neutrons & Range Reviews:
    • Working with the category teams to understand the vision for the neutron/range review – feed into content production briefs.
    • Accountable for informing business case requirements, to include budget allocation & resource.
    • Translates vision packs or range review decks into a robust content production brief, sourcing inputs from insights team and vendors, working with category, OEB and local content team to understand which assets and content will be sourced locally, from vendors or OEB.
  • Support the production team during the production process.
  • Works collaboratively with production team to ensure that the core and evergreen asset brief align with existing and future campaign requirements.
  • Shares status updates regularly with stakeholders and content producers at weekly production meeting.
  • Works cross-functionally with channels, categories, MP and local content teams to understand OEB-driver content production plans and ensure B&Q requirements are communicated to the OEB teams to inform their content production briefs.
  • Manages the CPA project timeline for each range review, liaising with content production teams and channels to ensure deadlines are known and met.
  • Manages changes to the scope and project risks, ensuring all relevant parties are aware and mitigate changes and risks.
  • Checks annually with each category to ensure evergreen and core to trade content is still valid, up to date and on-trend where necessary, proposing new production requirement if appropriate.
  • Collaborate with vendors on content planning and asset creation.
  • Responsible for facilitating the process. Writing the content brief and ensuring approval. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on what the final content product budget and scope will be for each range review or neutron and that they sign off all assets.


Required skills & experience

  • 5+ years’ experience working in marketing.
  • 3+ years’ experience project managing, either managing marketing campaigns, packaging re-designs or publications, content and photography for marketing and product launches.
  • Good understanding of different marketing channels, including e-commerce, social media, email and digital advertising.
  • Highly personable, with an ability to build strong business relationships, collaborate and build rapport and trust with stakeholders.
  • Relentless internal and external customer focus.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
  • You take the lead, make recommendations, and ensure decisions are made swiftly.
  • Ability to manage projects to deadline, strong planning, and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to challenge and push back in a non-confrontational way, to get the best decision for the business.
  • Flexibility and capability to multi-task, juggling multiple projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Retail Marketing experience desirable but not essential.
