Your role in a nutshell

We are recruiting a permanent Senior Technical Product Owner (HR/Finance/Non-Trade) for our global HQ in London Bridge (Hybrid Working).

The successful candidate will take a lead role in the development and priority of core functionality across our Core/SAP product(s). Specialising in SAP FICO , HRM and Procurement. As part of a project team you will own the delivery of high quality, customer and colleague led products, ensuring focus on the items that will deliver the most significant business value. You will build the right product(s) for the business and working closely with the extended team to interpret and ensure alignment with strategy, roadmap and business goals. This will require the PO to work closely with a variety of stakeholders to deliver a backlog of product(s) across multiple workstreams.

  • Responsible for launching new products and enhance existing ones and ensuring business readiness
  • Responsible for the on-time, on-budget and on-strategy delivery of our products and projects through careful prioritisation and review of business cases
  • Engagement with business stakeholders to cover the strategic aspects of product development, including product vision definition, roadmap creation and business case creation, keeping product return on investment (ROI) and business value delivery as the core focus
  • To work collaboratively with the wider business and IT development teams to ensure the roadmap is fully aligned to business direction, strategic goals and requirements
  • Deliver against and support the vision, strategy and roadmap for your product(s) aligned to the wider global IT strategy
  • Be a focal point of contact for the business for the defined product/portfolio of products.
  • Manage product user journey design and requirements gathering, ensuring a high-quality customer and colleague experience
  • Overseeing of user acceptance testing
  • Apply practices, procedures and standards to ensure activities and decisions are compliant with The Body Shop's risk appetite, legal and regulatory requirements
  • Work alongside the wider technical team including 3rd parties, ensuring that business needs are reflected in project requirements, adhereing to the product(s) roadmap
  • Brief stakeholders and senior management on the product roadmap, and associated deliverables, to ensure cross function alignment
  • Work closely with Internal teams and external suppliers / third parties to ensure resource is aligned to the roadmap and tracking for success
  • Manage product(s) feature prioritisation; ensuring stakeholders understand the compromises and constraints

What we look for

  • Extensive experience in ‘Product Management’ or as ‘Product Owner’ and proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership of products and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
  • Hands on experience with agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional team projects across critical deadlines
  • Blend of business, technical and management skills, with understanding of colleague / customer experience
  • Experience in A/B testing and data analytics to inform product roadmap
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. · Strong retail/consumer facing experience
  • Solid technology understanding; ability to communicate effectively with the delivery team and communicate clearly back to business stakeholders
  • Experience with working in a matrix or complex global environment. · Ability and desire to work in a position that requires both strategic and tactical focus. · Strong familiarity of emerging technologies, capabilities, and solutions within your area
  • Experience in working with SAP – SAP HR, SAP FICO, Taxation & Non Trade Procurement
  • Able to own roadmap and help to shape this by working closely with various stakeholders to integrate with business strategy
  • Experience with change management and working in a matrix or complex global environment
  • Experience in Jira, Confluence or similar toolsets
  • Degree qualified preferable · Industry Product Management training preferable
