Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our small family business.

You will be working on projects for the most exciting businesses in the world and will often see your work in the media.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, packing, and dispatching signs, receiving incoming deliveries, keeping work areas tidy, and setting up the CNC machine. Training will be provided for the CNC machine, but mainly consists of loading materials, changing bits (like a drill bit) keeping an eye on it while running, and cleaning down.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, pack, and dispatch signs according to customer orders
• Receive and process incoming deliveries of materials and supplies
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Assist with setting up the CNC machine for production runs
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Operate equipment such as cnc, laser, printers and pallet jacks as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met
• Communicate any issues or concerns to management in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift large sheets of material (roughly 10kg) and stand for long periods of time
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and be trained on new equipment and procedures
• Familiarity with basic computer skills, including email and data entry

Hours are part time, between 9am and 4pm. Ideally we are looking for 16-20hours per week. However, if you think you're perfect for this role, we are open to more hours and more duties.
