Purchase Ledger Clerk

18.5 hours per week, 12 month temporary contract

D5 – D6: £21,575 to £21,968 (FTE)

Actual Salary: £10,788 to £10,984

Working hours are flexible, however, you will be required to work 6 hours on a Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm; consideration will also be given to term time only working applications.

Broad Horizons Education Trust, which operates 18 schools in and around Norwich, are looking for a conscientious and self-motivated person to join the centralised Finance team in its Purchase Ledger Function for a 12 month period to June 2024.

Working under the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, main responsibilities will include:

• Processing electronic invoices on the Trust’s finance system

• Maintaining supplier standing data and reconciling supplier statements

• Preparing BACS payment runs for authorisation

• Dealing with supplier queries via email and phone

• Providing holiday cover for the Purchase Ledger Supervisor

The ideal candidate would be someone with previous experience working in finance, but the most important qualities are someone who is conscientious, self-motivated and wants to be part of a friendly, high achieving team.

The role with be based at the Trust’s HQ at Sewell Park Academy, not far from the city centre, with good transport links, free on-site parking and staff welfare packages.
