Job Description
Nurses often play a significant role in preparing patients for treatments and sharing knowledge about health and lifestyle changes. Their main duties and responsibilities include:
- Motivating patients to help restore and improve their health and self-esteem
- Providing medication to patients and providing pre- and post-operation care
- Providing psychological and physical support to parents, family members and friends
- Identifying patient care requirements
- Assuring the quality of care to patients through adhering to therapeutic standards
- Ensuring that patients and fellow employees adhere to infection control policies and protocols, medicine storage and administration procedures and substance control regulations
- Evaluating patients who complain of specific aliments
- Examining and authenticating vaccination records
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract and Temp to perm.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Support service users with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices enabling them to take control of their own lives, increasing independence.
- Ensure all personal care tasks are carried out in line with the needs, wishes and preferences of the individual, following the care plan.
- Ensure the security of the building and the safety of the service users living in the Home.
- To be flexible and responsive at all times and to meet the changing needs of the service and the service users.
- Work with individuals to promote healthy lifestyle by liaising with local healthcare professionals.
- Provide leadership to the team and ensure good team working.
- At each shift ensure staff complete all necessary paperwork (including handover) to an acceptable standard to sign off.
- Ensure risk assessments are actioned as necessary, in line with policies and procedures.
- Motivate, support and mentor the staff when needed.

Requirements
- A coloured copy of your Driving licence (front and back) {optional}
- 2 x Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (e.g. bank statement, utility bill) or council tax or P60 dated the last 12 months
- Proof of National Insurance (letter or payslip)
- CSTF Training certificates, find the training list attached
- A copy of DBS certificate, page 1,2
- Occupational health proof for MMR, TB/BCG, Varicella & Hepatitis B
- Latest Statement of Entry, NMC: https://online.nmc-uk.org/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=/
- 2 references with full name & work email address covering the last 3 years of your employment without gaps, your references to be your senior nurses.
- Full updated CV with no gaps
- Professional qualification, nursing diploma
- Proof of Indemnity Insurance (a recent confirmation letter from RCN or Unison about your current membership)
- Picture (headshot) for your ID badge (NO Sunglasses or Beach Pictures)
