Risk and Compliance Analyst – MMB (Mercer Marsh Benefits) - Fixed Term Contract
The role:
Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) have an interesting opportunity for someone looking to work as a Risk and Compliance Analyst on a fixed term contract - a position which can be based in either our Edinburgh, Bristol, London or Manchester offices; remote working may also be considered.
You will report to the MMB Risk & Compliance Manager giving support to ensuring that MMB has robust processes, procedures and systems in place to manage its risks and ensure it is compliant with FCA and wider Mercer guidelines.

The MMB Risk & Compliance Analyst is responsible for liaising with all core central functions and the provision of specialist advice and guidance to business segments. The role will manage relationships and interfaces with senior stakeholders on a range of complex topics.

We will count on you to:
- Support the risk management processes in MMB ensuring that all strategic and operational risks are identified, managed and mitigated in accordance with industry best practice and Mercer methodologies
- Support with the compliance management processes in MMB, ensuring that required controls, documents and processes are in place to satisfy FCA requirements
- Support the Complaint/E&O and Data Breaches management processes in MMB, ensuring that processes are robust, documented, understood and adopted across MMB
- Oversee the audit management processes ensuring reports and actions are agreed with business segments, audit actions are managed and resolved
- Provide support on reporting for the FCA half yearly and annual reports, quarterly conduct risks and KPI reporting requests
- Ensure we have compliant agencies in place with approved insurers and maintain up to date TOBAs
- Actively contribute to MMB and Mercer projects as required
What you need to have:
- Experience of working in a business that is regulated by the FCA
- Proven experience of being involved with change programs and projects is preferable
- The ability to be reactive and work on your own initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT skills especially the use of Excel and PowerPoint
- Have a keen interested in compliance
What makes you stand out:
- Knowledge of the UK health and benefits market would be an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of providing compliance and audit support to a complex matrix structured organisation would be an advantage
- Be skilled at developing and maintaining relationships at all levels with the ability to adapt communication styles accordingly
