An exciting opportunity has arisen for two full time Senior Software Developers to be based on the Isle of Wight working as part of Liz Earle's dynamic and dedicated technical team.

About the opportunity

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for supporting and developing in-house systems and services that support a wide range of critical business functions. You will be working with a small yet successful team and collaborating with various Liz Earle business units.

We are looking for candidates with a wide range of experience developing backend solutions built with Microsoft .NET. Familiarity with both past and present .NET versions is desirable. The role demands a blend of technical and functional skills, including strong .NET skills for designing and delivering solutions, ensuring a smooth handover to our QA and IT Operations teams.

What you'll need to have

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills essential, with proven ability explaining technical concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Extensive experience developing and testing .NET C# solutions
  • Strong database skills (MS SQL Server preferred) and working with ORMs such as MS Entity Framework
  • Hands on experience of GIT source control
  • Highly analytical and numerate
  • Self-starter, proven ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code
  • Understanding of OOP fundamentals and common design patterns

It would be great if you also had
  • Experience of SOA / Integration practices
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity / Octopus / Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Experience with Azure
