Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing of Amazon power units. In this role, you will drive the negotiation with key vendors to introduce new services and procure assets that will support the growth of the Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation network. You will work with our fleet and sustainability teams on defining the sourcing strategy to transform the current transportation environment while influencing Senior Leadership on the direction for the Middle Mile business.

Key job responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Sr. Procurement Manager include:
You are responsible for the procurement of Amazon portfolio of trucks in our middle mile nodes. This includes power units as well as the repair and maintenance contracts with large vendors across EU and UK.
You will lead the sourcing of the Amazon truck fleet, including the sourcing plans to deliver Amazon 0 carbon emission goals via the transition to Alternative Fuel Vehicles such as Electric Vehicles.
You will be the commercial relationship owner for large power units’ vendors, defining new streams of value creation and negotiating contracts to deliver best total value.
You will set up key Procurement KPIs to measure, monitor and improve metrics such as Total Cost of Ownership.
You will work closely with a team of Program and Product Managers to drive the collection and implementation of requirements, ensure alignment with corporate objectives and contractual obligations.
You will be required to have clear, precise, and regular communication with all stakeholders up to VP level. This includes ongoing project/program status reports as well as capturing requirements.

Team work and cross-functional dependencies are part of our day to day in Amazon. You will be expected to work closely with the Amazon Fleet Program and Operations teams, the sustainability strategy teams and Finance.
