Supply Chain Manager - Inside IR35

Contract Term: 9 Months

Contracting Authority: DWP

Location: Hybrid working (2 days per week in a DWP hub – Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, London or Glasgow offices and 3 days WFH)

The main duties and responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager would be:

  • Managing Supplier Performance (KPI and Contract Management) at all levels to ensure delivery of timely and high-quality outcomes of a National Supplier delivering Hard Services and Statutory Maintenance Facilities Management Contract
  • Driving and overseeing Supplier Contract Management Improvement Plan
  • Leading and Facilitating Supplier Governance Meetings at a Senior Stakeholder Level
  • Extensive Stakeholder Management Internal, Supply Chain and Authority Integrator
  • Updating the Authority Central Risk Register, including management of mitigations and tracking resolutions & risk closure
  • Producing Monthly Supply Chain Management Functional Leadership Team Report


You’ll have:

  • Significant experience in (day to day) supply chain management within a TFM or Hard Services Contract setting including multiple service lines (Lift, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and Water)
  • An understanding of FM Maintenance (PPM, Remedial, Reactive) Delivery
  • Literacy in Reading Commercial Contract Deliverables and Scope of Service
  • Experience Managing Supplier Performance across a National Contract, with a complex Supply Chain (Direct Labour, Internal/External Supply Chain Specialist Subcontractors)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of seniority
  • An understanding and managing the Supplier in accordance with Real Estate Statutory, Regulatory and Professional requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in managing suppliers in accordance with “Corrective Action Plans/Improvement plans” to address performance issues with Strategic Suppliers
  • Knowledge and implementation of risk management strategies and processes
  • Demonstrable experience of excellent senior client relationships and ability to build effective relationships
  • A proven ability in articulating data and forecasts to stakeholders with commercial acumen
  • Public or private sector background


It would be great if you also had:

  • Certified membership of a recognised supply chain management professional body, e.g. ASCM, IOSCM, MCIPS
