Rate: £380 - £400/day OUTSIDE IR35

2 days on site per week

Role:

We are looking for a Test Manager to join a large and well-established public sector client based in Worcestershire. We are looking for someone who will be responsible for managing all aspects of testing strategy, planning and implementation to support the programme. This will include the conduct of internal testing carried out in the development environment, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of third-party supplied products, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and any test activities undertaken in the programme. This is seen as a hands on role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and procedures for our software team.
• Manage and mentor the testing team, covering training and performance management.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure that testing is integrated into the software development process.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics to track the effectiveness of the testing process.
• Identify and manage testing risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Conduct regular meetings with the testing team to review progress, share best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies and processes to ensure that they are efficient and effective.
• Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on testability and quality issues.
