What’s the opportunity?
This is a rare, exciting opportunity, leading a newly created People Shared Service Team. You will play a key role as a member of the People Team and as one of the leads within the team helping to deliver the people strategy.
- Lead, manage and coach the Central People Team and give support on complex and/or high-risk ER cases to ensure appropriate resolution
- Ensure processes are followed and managers are coached effectively with a view to them becoming more self-sufficient in these areas (i.e.: managing / monitoring absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability etc)
- Ensure the on-going development and pro-active management of the Central People Team, to facilitate the best possible levels of service and continuous improvement
- Develop processes to enable the central team to become the one point of contact for all people queries with the development of a shared service centre
- Complete, analyse and present HR data and findings and ensure any relevant corrective action is taken or processes put in place
- Deliver and implement any centrally driven HR and people initiatives across ScS
- Support line managers in creating an environment where colleagues are motivated and engaged
- Provide Business Partnering support to colleagues within the Customer Support Centre
- Understand and update HR policies in line with employment legislative requirements. Provide the business with detailed knowledge and application of best practice ER processes
- Liaise with Solicitors, Head of People Operations, People Leads, Managers etc as appropriate, to ensure services are provided to the required levels
- Lead and co-ordinate change programmes with a ‘people’ impact
- An experienced People Lead / Human Resources Manager, ideally from within a retail environment
- A team player, willing to help and support in all areas of the People agenda
- Degree level or CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification
- Approachable with good listening skills have the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Result driven with a real passion for people
- Ability to engage and give added value information
- Well organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks as well as being comfortable in working is a fast paced, change orientated environment.
- People oriented and results driven
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases and the ability to provide excellent analytics.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
