I have partnered up with a leading support manufacturer in Sheffield who require a Warehouse Supervisor to a lead a team of 15 to join their organisation. This is a brand new role for the business following a period of growth and are therefore looking for a warehouse leader who has experience in a manufacturing environment. This role is Monday to Friday with hours between 7am and 4pm with a half day on the Friday.
- Lead and inspire the Warehouse Despatch teams providing guidance, support, and development.
- Conducting regular 1:1's and appraisals with team members
- Promote efficient working methods, highlighting any inefficiency and conducting root cause analysis.
- Manage and organise team workload to ensure output is maximised in line with the production plan, suggesting and implementing recovery measures where required.
- Monitor the team's performance vs KPIs, regularly feeding back to the team on performance and senior colleagues on any barriers to achievement with proposed solutions.
- Provide and present updates on KPI performance, work progress and forward plans.
- Managing holiday planning within the area, ensuring sufficient holiday coverage for any period of absence
- Conduct cyclical stock counts on products and other consumable materials, highlighting any known issues beforehand.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping & cleanliness throughout the area of responsibility, assisting with implementing and maintaining 5S standards.
- Set an example to the team regarding H&S and Quality standards, assisting with driving a 'right-first-time' approach throughout the business.
- Take responsibility for recruiting new members to the team.
- Monitor attendance levels within the team & help to promote well-being.
- Foster excellent working relationships with other departments/teams

- Experience in warehouse management (goods/goods out) and product assembly processes ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- A hands-on and practical approach to equipment use and maintenance.
- Experience in change management and implementing efficiency improvements would be desirable.
