The opportunity


The Cardiff Metropolitan University external website is the Universities main student recruitment tool, as well as representing all the academic schools, professional units and key stakeholders. It attracts over 1.5 million visitors per year, and is fundamental to stakeholder engagement, student recruitment and the student experience.


The Web Content and SEO Officer will play a lead role in developing and delivering strategies relating to search engine optimisation, web content editing and optimisation, web analytics and user behaviour.



What we are looking for


  • Strong Knowledge of SEO principles and best practice
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of using project management, content management and data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional understanding of online user experience and digital best practice
  • Demonstrate use of enterprise level content management systems within a large organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of web standards, accessibility and usability.
  • Proficient in HTML/HTML5 and CSS for developing and updating web pages/sites
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software (Adobe Creative Suite: Dreamweaver; Photoshop)
  • Copywriting for Web
